John J. King, CPA Partner   John is a 1984 graduate of Cleveland State University. He joined the firm in 1987 and is a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants. John specializes  in medical and dental clients including new practice setups, purchase analysis, mergers, and practice sales. He also has many real estate clients and advises on cost segregation and operational issues. John administers retirement plans for many of his clients and does extensive tax planning for his high net worth individuals. John resides in Highland Heights with his wife, Laura and four children, Lauren, John, Tricia and Brian. John enjoys the outdoors, running, and coaching youth sports. j.king@king-cpa.com
Greg P. Barrett, CPA Partner Greg has been with King & Associates, LLP since 1989 while he was serving with the Ohio National Guard. He graduated from Cleveland State University in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants. Greg’s practice specializes in medical and dental clients. Aside from individual and corporate income tax services, some other services he provides to these clients would be practice start-up, practice purchase/sale, practice management, accounts receivable review, finance acquisition and computer support. Greg is the technology partner here at King & Associates, LLP and has extensive knowledge of network/desktop and software application support. He supports many of his clients with their use of QuickBooks® accounting software. Greg is a frequent speaker at Case School of Dental Medicine. Greg lives in Moreland Hills, Ohio with his wife Jennifer and his three daughters Erin, Kaylee and Meeghan. He is an active member of his church finance council. He enjoys fishing, sailing and spending time with his family. g.barrett@king-cpa.com
Mary L. Wright, CPA Partner   Mary has been with the firm since its inception while working her way through college. She is a 1987 graduate of Lake Erie College with a bachelor’s of science degree majoring in accounting.  She is a member of The Ohio Society of CPA’s and The National Association of Tax Preparers.  Mary has a solid practice of health care clients. With her vast experience, her clients often look to her for direction in many facets of their practice management. She applies her office organizational skills here at our firm.  Mary lives in University Heights with her husband David and her two sons Andrew and Thomas and her dog Butter. She is active in her church and her community. Outside of the office, Mary’s young family keeps her occupied with their various athletic and civic functions. She enjoys photography, nature walks and getting together with friends and family. m.wright@king-cpa.com
Kathleen A. Murphy, CPA Tax Manager Kathy joined King & Associates, LLP in 2009.  She is a 1981 graduate of Bowling Green State University and is a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.  Her  background is in small business accounting and auditing, taxes and non-profit accounting. Kathy volunteers on a Board of Trustees as the Treasurer of a non-profit providing services to residents with developmental disabilities.
